Hello Beautyowls,

Today’s post is dedicated to the one and only Jaclyn Hill eyeshadow palette in collaboration with Morphe. I received this palette over a month ago, and I wanted to test this baby as much as possible before writing this post!

Jaclyn Hill is a known beauty YouTuber that is famous for her fantastic makeup looks and sparkly personality. According to her introduction video about this palette, it took her and Morphe two years of development to coordinate and release it.

Appart from the carefully selected curation that was a constant back and forth between her and Morphe the main reason for the extended development period was the newly created formula, as well as the unique to this palette, developed shades.

The palette comes with 35 shades in five different finishes that are mattes, shimmers, satins, foils, and a glitter. The formula in each shade is pigmented and buttery. The application is effortless and easy to blend with almost no fall-out. The wear time is excellent! The eyeshadows last all day (even without an eyeshadow primer) and the pigments wear out to the slightest after 8 hours of wear time which is normal.

Appart from the endless eyeshadow looks one can create, this easy to travel with palette costs 38$ and with this quality one indeed has to congratulate Morphe and Jaclyn Hill for pulling this off. The palette is Limited Edition and currently sold out on Morphe as well as Beauty Bay but is now still available on Ulta.

The eyeshadows are housed in a white cardboard palette that is very lightweight and easy to travel with. Jaclyn and Morphe did receive some negative feedback regarding the sturdiness of the palette as well as the fact that it does get very quickly filthy. This made them upgrade the packaging. Personally, I found it a shame that the shade names were not included on the packaging. However, this was also corrected and added to the upgraded version.

I enjoy this palette because it is very inclusive and it gives me the opportunity (if I choose so) to incorporate more bold colors into my makeup looks. You have the chance to mix and match and honestly just go nuts according to your leisure!

All in all, this is a beautiful palette which a cannot recommend enough. Whether you are a beginner, a makeup professional or a collector. So if you are hesitating to get this baby…don’t! Because to me, this was money well spent!
